We are looking for three enthusiastic and committed people to help us maintain a quality Benefits service.  The successful applicant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in what can be a demanding and pressurised environment.  A high standard of numeracy, literacy and accuracy is required.

The post holder will be part of a team responsible for all aspects of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.  As well as assessing entitlement consistently and accurately, you will be required to provide benefits advice and explanations in writing, face-to-face and over the telephone.  Previous experience of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.

The Benefits Service operates hybrid working and, following a period of in-house office-based training, remote working is possible.

Applicants who meet the essential criteria for the role will be invited to an assessment test during week commencing 19th September 2022, with successful candidates then shortlisted for interview in week commencing 26th September 2022.

The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Salary range / grade: £23,988 per annum, rising to £26,436.

Hours: 37 Hours/week,
