Do you have experience within the benefits sector and want the flexibility of working from home?

We are looking for someone who can apply a high level of expert knowledge within a technical area of expertise and manage sensitive, open ended and complex case or project-based work.

This Benefits Technical Lead post plays a crucial part in our small team and we need someone with the knowledge and experience to deliver sensitive, complex project work within our Benefits team. If you are strategic, confident with internal and external stakeholdes and have benefits experience we would love to hear from you.

This post can be based from any of our three locations, Cirencester, Coleford or Witney however majority of the work can be completed at home giving you the ultimate flexibility.

About the role

  • Completing the Housing Benefits Subsidy Form and working with external auditors for the Housing Benefits Assurance Process
  • Helping to keep the Revenues and Benefits software up to date including testing latest software releases. This includes working with our software supplier and other external bodies.
  • Dealing with complex system issues and queries from the Benefits Team and internal auditors using knowledge of Housing Benefit legislation (including Subsidy)

You will need

  • A qualification in your area of expertise, equivalent to a degree or relevant experience of three years of working in the Benefits Service
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent to grade C/4 or higher

Special conditions

  • Ability to travel
  • BPSS
  • A few weekends each year will be required to work for Annual Billing/Benefits uprating and Rollover processes

Salary range / grade: £34,394 to £35,508 per annum,

Hours: 37 hours per week Permanent Agile & Homeworking
