As the largest economy in the Thames Estuary outside London, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved but we are never complacent. We are driving inclusive, sustainable growth to provide opportunity and prosperity for local people and businesses, access to quality homes, vibrant town centres and an enhanced local environment.
Basildon’s Revenues and Benefits are a nationally recognised award winning service. We are responsible for the billing and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Debtors, and we administer the Housing Benefit scheme and Local Council Tax Support and Reduction schemes.
The role of the Billing and Benefits Officer is to administer all aspects of Council Tax billing and Housing Benefit and Local Council Tax Support and Reduction assessment, ensuring a high standard of quality and accuracy of work in accordance with law, regulations and guidelines.
