ABOUT THE TEAM

The Product Team consisting of product managers and business analysts are responsible for designing, building, and maintenance of the Capita Revenues and Benefits software and interact with many different stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure the software delivers great outcomes to both our customers and the citizens with who they interact. We are looking for two people to join the current team of nine people in our team.

WHAT IS THE JOB ROLE?

As a Business Analyst within Capita’s Revenues & Benefits Product team, you will explore, analyse, validate, and specify new products/solutions as well as amended software features and functions, used by our key customers in local government in the billing and collection of council tax and non-domestic rates and the administration for housing benefit and council tax support. You will be engaging with customers and internal teams to develop and understand opportunities, challenges, and requirements, working with government and legislative bodies to ensure compliance across products. Working in a matrix organisation as a member of a domain focused team of Product Managers and Business Analysts, you will enjoy support from a knowledgeable and skilled team, as a member of a larger community based both onshore and offshore.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You will need:

  • Exceptionally good knowledge on the legislation that determines how software needs to work for housing benefits and council tax support.
  • At least 2 years’ experience on the Capita Revenues & Benefits application specifically on the housing benefit and council tax support software.
  • Ideally you will have experience in SQL, but this is not essential.
  • The ability to analyse and solve problems.
  • To be able to work effectively whilst meeting demanding deadlines.
  • A flexible attitude towards work.
  • An enthusiastic outlook to working in a challenging role.
  • To be able to work on your own initiative.

Salary range / grade: Fully negotiable depending on experience.

Hours: 37 Hours/week, Flexible working is available. Hours of work are Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
