Applications are invited for this challenging but rewarding key role within the Benefits Service, which operates a Shared Service for both Blackpool and Fylde Councils.

The successful candidate will lead, manage and motivate the Compliance and Overpayment Recovery Teams, and have an appropriate IRRV qualification, a comprehensive knowledge of Benefit legislation, and have proven extensive experience in the operational delivery of core processing systems, including the scheduling of software releases, server upgrades, testing and training.  You will also be responsible for the preparation, calculation and balancing of the Housing Benefit subsidy claim, estimates, and monitoring returns for Blackpool and Fylde, and you will co-ordinate the core processing system data security and system access procedures in order to comply with DWP secure data access protocols.

The current post holder is due to retire later this year and we ideally want the right person in place before she leaves to ensure a smooth transition into the role and to maintain the excellent standing of the teams.

A hybrid working arrangement is applicable to this role.

Salary range / grade: NJC H2 £37,261 - £41,496 per annum

Hours: Full Time Permanent
