Development Officer

We are excited to be offering the opportunity to join our team of Development Officers to support the Benefits function of the Revenues & Benefits Service.

This role will be fast paced and multi-faceted, working to support our goal of reducing error risk across Milton Keynes Council and our partner Horsham District Council. We aim to achieve this by ensuring our staff are kept up to date with any changes in legislations and procedures and continually support any training and development needs.

What does this job involve…

  • Delivery of quality assurance (QA), working proactively on areas that pose the biggest subsidy risk.
  • The collation and interpretation of QA data.
  • Communicating with the operational team to educate, provide updates and collaborate with
  • Providing training and mentoring to support the reduction in error within the operation.
  • Keeping procedures up to date.
  • Monitor and supporting individuals performance.

  • Someone who has an extensive knowledge of Housing Benefits.
  • Someone who enjoys developing staff and can explain complex procedures and legislation.
  • Someone who is flexible and can work well to statutory deadlines.
