Joining the Council’s revenues and Benefits team based in Bideford you will be responsible for the effective administration and recovery of the financial assistance offered to customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
Duties include all aspects of recovery work which will involve setting instalment arrangements, issuing of reminders, taking payments, and overseeing further recovery action.
Experience of working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and working with the general public is essential. The successful candidate will need to be courteous, tactful and resilient.
Applicants must be educated to GCSE standard which includes Maths and English at Grade C or above or be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
