We are looking for an experienced fraud investigator to join our professional, dedicated and friendly Fraud & Investigation Team. The role plays a fundamental role in investigating allegations of fraud, corruption and bribery for Mole Valley; as well as working closely with its social housing partners investigating tenancy fraud on their behalf; and being the lead on corporate enforcement investigating incidents of fly-tipping and littering for Mole Valley and the National Trust.

The role is a two year fixed term contract or secondment where you will work in a busy and diverse environment, giving you a great opportunity develop your investigative and enforcement skills.

About you

You are positive, enthusiastic, highly motivated and are keen to learn, with experience delivering results in a public facing role

Along with a professional and hardworking approach, you are able to manage a varied workload in a pressurised work environment, with the ability to work independently and in a team

You have excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate case files, sanction reports and prosecution files

You have the ability to handle sensitive information whilst dealing with the most vulnerable of residents

Experience of accurate record keeping is essential

Sound knowledge of IT systems, including word and excel

Knowledge of using OPUS Datatank, Academy and NEC Document Management and the ability to undertake data matching and analysis is desirable but is not essential

You will hold accreditation at Counter Fraud Officer level (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate evidence of continued learning and professional development to remain up to date with all relevant legislation and case law.
