Housing Benefit Quality, Training and Development Officers

We are looking for two full-time Housing Benefit Quality, Training and Development Officers, on a permanent contract with the potential for home working after training.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two dedicated, dynamic and highly motivated individuals to join the Benefits Service Training, Quality and Development Team. Working within the Benefits Service, you will assist in providing technical expertise to ensure the correct implementation of legislation and assist in the design and delivery of training to staff. You must therefore have extensive technical knowledge of Housing Benefit legislation.

You will also be undertaking assessment duties when required and ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of benefit applications in accordance with legislation. As a result you will to have excellent communication and customer service skills. On-going training is provided to keep pace with changes in benefits’ provision.

You will benefit from a supportive management structure, ongoing personal development and performance management. You must have proven skills and confidence in the use of standard Office software, IT systems and a willingness to undergo further training.

  • Please note the salary quoted is based on full time hours (37 hours per week)

Salary range / grade: Grade 7 - £27,344 to £32,019
