Recovery Apprentice

Solihull Council

Due to team growth, we are looking for a Recovery Apprentice to join our successful Revenues Team who will take a customer focused approach to the collection of all Income Debt.

As a Recovery Apprentice you will deal with all aspects of Income Collection including recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates, Business Improvement District, Sundry Income and Housing Benefit overpayments. You will manage cases from reminder stage onwards, through final notice and post enforcement stages.

You will need a minimum 4 passes at GCSE’s (or equivalent) grade A-C/4 or above (including Maths and English).

Full training will be provided and a permanent role will be available at the end of the apprenticeship subject to successfully passing probation, performance and completion of the apprenticeship.

We can offer you a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a high performing team environment and working for Solihull means that we can offer employees a great working environment, together with a range of flexible working options, attractive staff discounts and a career average pension scheme. We also offer further career opportunities within the team for future development.

We are currently implementing our Smarter Ways of Working as we recognise that work is what you do and not necessarily where you go.  Our aim is to balance the needs of our employees with service delivery and, for this role, this will include a combination of working from home and from our offices in Central Solihull.

Whilst your geographical location isn’t important, you will need to be able to commute to our offices in Solihull as required in order to fulfil the needs of the service. If you have any specific queries regarding our hybrid working, please get in touch.

To apply for this vacancy you need to complete an application form via Public Sector Jobs | WMJobs
