We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and hardworking people with an eagerness to learn and develop, to join our Revenues and Benefits Team as a Revenue and Benefit Officer.
What will be expected from me?
Following training, you will be a vital part of a team ensuring our customer base is kept up to date, with correct bills being issued in a timely manner.
What I might be doing following training?
- Answering customer enquiries, either face to face, over the telephone or via email
- Carry out accurate and timely assessments for Council Tax Support and Housing Benefit
- Tackle poverty by maximising a customer’s income and signposting to further support
- Help with the collection of Council Tax or Business Rates arrears
- Engage with customers to prevent future arrears
- Deliver excellent customer service in your role
Essential requirements:
- Min. 4 GCSE passes at grade ‘4’ or above including Maths and English.
- Experience of using desktop software including email and applications such as Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of Council Tax and/or Business Rates and/or Benefits
- Ability to work independently under own initiative, and effectively as part of a team.
