The Revenues & Benefits Shared Service between Basildon Borough Council and Brentwood Borough Council is the first and only shared Revenues & Benefits service in Essex, is managed entirely by Basildon Borough Council and is the largest in Essex.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised individual to be part of the Revenues and Benefits management team. The main purpose of this post is to undertake caseload management of Housing Benefit, Local Council Tax Support/Reduction and Welfare Support ensuring the quality and accuracy of work of the Billing and Benefits officers whilst continually improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the service provided to our customers
The post holder will also deal with the more difficult or complex cases so a detailed knowledge of Housing Benefit, Council Tax and Welfare Benefit Law is essential.
