The Job:

Our journey started in November 2021 when the Revenues and Benefits Service was brought back as in house team and this is an exciting opportunity for the right person to help shape our services for the future and to be a valued member of a team that will be customer focused and motivated to provide an excellent customer experience to our residents.

The Person:

You must have a background in Benefits administration and experience of staff management would be beneficial as the successful applicants will have responsibility for staff management and supervision.

Equally important are your personal attributes, you should be self-motivated, possess excellent interpersonal skills, set high standards and be an inspirational leader to those staff in your team.

Have Minimum of two years’ experience in Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction, and a solid working knowledge of Housing Benefits and Council Tax Reduction Scheme Legislation and practices. We are also looking for the successful candidate to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and also demonstrate a high degree of numeracy with eye for detail and be a critical thinker.

Salary range / grade: Salary: £40,446.50 – £45,245.50 per annum

Hours: Full Time - Permanent - 37 hours Agile working supported.
