We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Revenues Officer to join our well-established team!
The Revenues and Benefits service is responsible for the professional, timely and accurate billing, collection, recovery, and enforcement of monies due, and the processing and payment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support on behalf of our client councils.
The Senior Revenues Officer will support the service to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the Revenues service. Working alongside our Revenues Systems and Control team to provide a proficient and responsive system support service. Reporting to the Revenues and Recovery Team Leader you will further contribute to overall performance of the team through the production and analysis of data for performance management and quality assurance purposes. You’ll also support the completion of the Services Statutory Returns and supporting Information.
As the Senior Revenues Officer, you will need:
- GCSE level C/4 or above in English and either Maths or a similar science
- Previous experience in a similar role ideally within local authority
- Up to date knowledge of Council Tax, Business Rates, Sundry Debt and Housing Benefit overpayment, including debt recovery legislation
