Senior System Support & Policy Officer.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a Senior System Support and Policy officer to join our Systems and Policy Team.  The team is responsible for supporting the systems and delivering the policy of the revenues, benefits and customer services departments. 

Whilst the work areas for the Senior System Support and Policy officer is broad, this post will be predominantly focused on ensuring the effective delivery of policies and procedures through training, guidance and quality assurance. 

About You

You must have practical experience and detailed knowledge of revenues and benefits systems, legislation and administration with a particular emphasis on policy, procedures, subsidy, quality, training and development.

The workload of the team is varied so you will need the ability to work on your own initiative to plan, prioritise and organise your workload to ensure deadlines are met. 

You should be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to support other team members and maintain a good team environment. 

Excellent communication skills are required as you will be responsible for communicating effectively with a wide range of people both internally and externally.

About Us

This is an opportunity to join a busy Systems & Policy team which responds to the demands of the wider revenues and benefits service. We currently use a number of systems including Capita One Revenues and Benefits, Capita One Digital Portal, NEC SWS document management system (Information at Work), PuTTY, FileZilla, Paris by XLPrint and Microsoft Office. 

The department provides the opportunity for a varied and interesting workload in a service that is continuously improving and evolving.  In this role you will have the chance to develop your skills, including attendance at relevant seminars and training events, and will be supported as a member of the Systems and Policy team.

Salary range / grade: Grade G scp23 £27,741 to scp27 £31,346 per annum

Hours: Permanent - 37 hrs pw
