Serco works in a strategic partnership with Peterborough City Council in the heart of the city, to transform the quality of local services for our citizens.  We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Systems Administrator within our Benefits and Systems team.

As Systems Administrator you will provide delivery of efficient and effective systems provision and software applications in order to support the Income team (Council Tax, Business Rates and Corporate Debt) and Payment team (Benefits, Payroll and Accounts Payable) in Shared Transactional Services.

As Systems Administrator you will support the maintenance and control of the relevant computer systems used by the different teams within Revenues and Benefits. Support the maintenance and control of the relevant computer systems used by the different teams within Revenues and Benefits.

You will assist with the day-to-day administration of the corporate E-payments system, Car Parking appeals and investigating, resolving, and reporting on any financial discrepancies.

This role offers Hybrid working (2 days in the office every 2 weeks).

What you will need

We are looking for someone who has a background in Administration, with experience of using Excel and an understating of Data protection/GDPR.

Most importantly you will be customer focused with a good understanding of customer need and expectations.
