Systems and Control Officer

We are looking for a Systems and Control Officer to join our friendly Revenues and Benefits service.

We are currently in the process of moving offices, your temporary workplace will be Manby until the move in January 2023.

The role is vital to the timely and accurate production of ad-hoc data and information, areas of reconciliation between financial systems and supporting the completion of statutory returns.  You will play a lead role in major projects such annual billing, and service transformation and improvement projects, including:

  • Providing system administration
  • Support ranging from day-to-day planning and maintenance of batch reports and daily reconciliations
  • Maintaining safe and secure user access
  • Supporting users through to fault resolution

What we need from you:

  • Experience working with accounting processes, controls and systems
  • A proficient user of ICT,
  • Able to work accurately and meet deadlines in a pressured environment
  • Highly organised, methodical and analytical
  • Excellent communication skills

Whilst experience in a local authority (or similar) Revenues and / or Benefits service would be beneficial, training will be provided.

Starting salary will be subject to experience, however upon completing of training you will go up to Grade 5.

Salary range / grade: £19,520 - £26,931
