Uttlesford District Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Welfare Liaison Officer to cover maternity leave within the Benefits Department.
We would like to hear from you if you have proven experience in a benefit and/or homelessness prevention environment and are able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer liaison skills.
You should have a positive, customer focused, quality assured attitude along with the ability to review and analyse the decisions of others.
A good standard of education is required including GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths. You should have good IT skills and be familiar with using benefit-based computer systems.
The post will involve administration and customer facing duties, including home visits to the most vulnerable residents of the district. The post holder will also be required to represent the benefits service at surgeries and welfare events.
