Programme

Fully updated for 2013, taking into account the latest output from the Upper Tribunal.  This course is aimed mainly at Benefits decision makers and appeals officers – does the claimant have a partner?  Is he or she receiving a means-tested DWP benefit?  Has there been an overpayment, and has it been calculated properly?  If there is an appeal, how should you approach the submission of evidence – especially if there are (or could be) criminal proceedings?

Where does the claimant’s partner fit into the picture – is s/he affected by your decision in any way?

The course programme will consider first instance decision making issues in the morning, and move on to look at the Appeals process in the afternoon.  Provisional programme:

As well as a number of presentations and practical exercises, the day will specifically include the latest legislation and case law updates. Detailed notes, slides and exercises are included.

Fees are £199 per delegate, £250 for non-members,  book THREE places on any ONE course (on the same day) and a fourth delegate may attend the same event or another event of equal value absolutely free, before the end of 2013.

All fees are plus VAT @ the prevailing rate on the date of invoicing.

Course times are 09.15 for a PROMPT 09.30 start and all courses finish by 16.30
All events are held within 10 mins walk of the mainline station. No further transportation is needed.
