Reply To: Change in charges for supported accommodation

There is more than just the issue of the current claimants imho!

The increase (c. £170k per annum) equates to (at least) 6 FT members of staff – 1 new staff member per 3 residents. I would seriously question whether all of this can relate to Housing Management. While rough sleepers can be considered as requiring intensive supervision, I would also suggest that the burden would be similar/higher for the original client group of high risk offenders??

Even the description of a “daytime concierge” suggests a significant part of the role may be care/support.

In referencing “funding changes”, it also begs the question whether this is a cynical (if understandable) attempt to re-badge existing staff roles as IHM rather than support?
