Complete Date

    Hi, can someone help me clear up some confusion in our office

    When a new claim comes in or a change in circs is notified and the customer provides us with some information, but we advise them that we can get the remaining information by using CIS or phoning Tax Credits. What should we use as the complete date?

    Should we use the date the customer provided us with all the information we requested. Or should we use the date that we got the rest of the info we needed from CIS. In an ideal world with no backlogs this would be the same day, but what if there is a time delay between us getting the info from the customer and obtaining information from CIS/Tax credits.

    (I know we can get TC data from CIS now but there are still occasions when you need to phone them)

    I would say the completed date is the date you received ALL of the information, regardless who from.
