Morning all.

Do any of your hb recovery sections do more than just phone and send letters to debtors in order to collect the overpaid hb?

Do your hb recovery team have a mobile collection facility? Ie do they hand deliver letters to debtors, can they take payment whilst out and about visiting debtors etc?

Our overpayment team will say that they do more than “just phone and send letters” but in practise that is what they do.

However, they do it by working to recovery targets each month where they have a number of cases to either set up arrangements, commence deductions, refer for court action, write off as abscond etc.

It’s more the management of the workload than anything else.

We use Rossendales who use home collection agents.
