In a few weeks I am due to do a presentation to our local landlord forum on HB.

I am sure a few of you out there will have already done something similar and I was wondering if any of you would have any notes/presentations that you would be willing to share.

It would be nice to also give them a short presentation on LHA in the future if anyone has already done anything similar I would really appreciate anything you have.

    Thanks

Not sure if you are just presenting to judt private landlords, or RSLs as well.

RSLs are always asking us for training, which we don’t normally have the resources for.

Before our last forum I contacted the IRRV and got some free trial vouchers for their e-learning programme for Housing Associations, and some very fancy pens were thrown in too!

This particular training session is for private landlords only. It appears they have been asking for revenues and benefits since it started and I am the only one who has agreed.

Talk about lamb to the slaughter!!!!

I would suggest that you make your presentation as general as possible – maybe even starting with the way the regs are structured, where they come from, the intention and operation of the scheme etc

As soon as you go to detail, they will want to know why Mrs Smith’s claim is paid in full and Mrs Jones is restricted.

This sort of conversation should be avoided at all costs…. 😆
