We are reviewing our benefits delivery in South Lanarkshire and looking at the potential benefits and disadvantages of centralising benefits delivery into a processing centre or outsourced environment. We’d like to speak to other Local Authorities who have either centralised or outsourced benefits delivery services. Has anyone done this in the past 3 years? Alternatively, has anyone looked into centralising or outsourcing services to decide against it after a feasibility study? Even if your own LA hasn’t outsourced / centralised – do you know of any others who have?
