I seem to recall that when Persons From Abroad first became a benefits issue, the DWP (or whatever its previous incarnation was at the time) produced a circular which gave the naming conventions for a whole vairety of nationalities. I think it must have been about 1992 or 1993 that it came out.
I’ve searched our office (and when I aske for a circular from 1993 most people just laugh) and the web to no avail. DOes anyone have a copy or know where I can obtain one?
