Assessment and Inspections Officer – Revenues
We are recruiting for Assessment Officers to work within our busy Revenues and Benefits Team.
We are looking for enthusiastic, organised individuals who have a keen eye for detail. An enquiring mind and an ability to solve problems is a must!
The role of Assessment Officer is varied, covering the compilation and maintenance of council tax, business rates and housing benefit records, reviewing entitlement to benefit, discounts and exemptions and dealing with customers.
Although working as part of a team you will also need to act on your own initiative. The successful applicant is likely to have experience of Northgate and knowledge and experience of council tax and / or housing benefit.
As this is a fairly specialised role, you will be supported as you develop your existing skills and learn new ones, and you will receive training as necessary.
We’re a flexible employer and although this post is a full-time role, we are interested to hear from candidates who would like alternative arrangements.
